Eight members of the Toronto Unicyclists will be heading out to Nova Scotia for the June 16th start of the Ride the Lobster race. The event is a first of its kind for the unicycle community and will see teams of 3 riders pedaling a grueling 800KM over the 5 day event. A total of 35 teams from around the World will be vying for $10,000 in prize money.

Jeff Groves, Roman Allemann & Mike Thaler have teamed together with the support of Jason Allemann to form Team Atlas. A recent article appeared in the National Post profiling Team Atlas and the event.

Emily and Joshua McCormick will be riding with the support of Eric Moncrieff and joined American teammate Scott Wilton on the team 2Y2D .

Russell Davis will be joining Team Tricycle with fellow Canadian's Matt Burns and Levi Pounds.

And not to be forgotten is Toronto's own Darren Bedford who is one of the service sponsors and will be following riders waiting for unicycles to break so that he can fix them.
